affordable housing
for adults with
special mental
health needs and/or
limited incomes
through the
development,
construction,
renovation, and
management of
housing units.

Welcome to New Home
Development Company, Inc.
New Home
Development is a
private, nonprofit housing
development agency. Since 1991,
NHDC has been dedicated
to offering housing assistance
to adults recovering from mental
illness and persons with limited
incomes in Northwestern Ohio.
Working with state and local
partners, NHDC has
invested millions of dollars
into the four counties it
serves. To date, NHDC
owns more than 45 units of
affordable housing units and
manages more than sixty-eight
units throughout Defiance,
Fulton, Williams, and Henry
counties.

affordable rental
units, rental
subsidy, property
management, and
emergency loans to
qualifying
individuals when
funding is
available.
